Lost in a Spanish Country Part II

Today we are going to continue learning more vocabulary on directions and some useful expressions that could be very useful to find a place in a Spanish country.

Let’s start with some Prepositions of Location:

ACROSS FROM
(ENFRENTE A)

AHEAD
(MÁS ADELANTE)

BEHIND
(DETRÁS DE)

NEAR
(CERCA)

NEXT TO
(AL LADO DE)

FAR
(LEJOS)

The following is a list of Spanish Directions.  For instances, if you want to indicate that someone has to walk north two blocks, all you have to say is

CAMINE DOS CUADRAS AL NORTE

EAST
(ESTE)

LEFT
(IZQUIERDA)

NORTH
(NORTE)
RIGHT
(DERECHA)

SOUTH
(SUR)

STRAIGHT
(DERECHO)

WEST
(OESTE)

A Few Verbs of Command

CONTINUE
(SIGA)

TAKE
(TOME)

TURN
(DOBLE)

WALK
(CAMINE)

CROSS
(CRUCE)

GO BACK
(VUELVA)

GO DOWN
(BAJE)

GO PAST
(PASE)

GO UP
(SUBA)
